Tim was born and
raised in the Philadelphia area. He
participated in the Health Professional Scholarship Program with the US Navy
while attending MCP*Hahnemann School of Medicine. After graduation from medical school, he
commenced his active duty service during his internship and residency training
at the Naval Medical Center of San Diego, where he was actively involved in
clinical research. After completing his
residency training, he was assigned to the Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms,
where he proudly served as an Internal Medicine Medical Officer taking care of
active duty members, dependants, and military retirees. In this geographically isolated location, he
practiced autonomously with a great deal of responsibility, quickly honing his
skills professionally. It was during
this time, he made the mental transition from the Allopathic ideal of
"doctor heals patient" to a more realistic formula of "patient
heals thyself." Because of his
interest in Preventive Cardiology, he was led from the desert of Twentynine
Palms with the US Navy to La Jolla with Dr. Mimi Guarneri at the Scripps Center
of Intergrative Medicine, where he recently started his fellowship in
Integrative Cardiology.
As Tim has matured on
a professional level, he has truly found himself on a personal level with his
lovely wife and three beautiful children. It is through the love of his family that prepares him well as he
embarks on his journey to change "Integrative Medicine" to
"Medicine."
